Summary

In Matthew 2:6, the prophecy of Micah 5:2 presents the Ruler as being a shepherd. In the Greek, it reads "Which shall "shepherdize" my people Israel. Thus, the "Rod" and "Staff" purpose is to rule our lives as a Shepherd.
