Born in Tlahuitoltepec Ayuuk, Oaxaca, Mexico, Dante Galo Hernández began his musical studies at the age of nine at the Center of Musical Education (CECAM) on the euphonium. While attending the musical academy “Vida y Movimiento” in Mexico City in 1990, he switched to the horn. He later graduated from the School of Music at USC in Los Angeles, California. He holds several music awards from Mexico and the United States. He has been a member of several symphonies in Mexico and youth symphonies in the United States. As a soloist, he has performed in the prominent concert halls of Mexico. He presently is a member of the Orquestra de Solistas de Baja California at Tijuana as well as a teacher of the Conservatory of Tijuana.
A Peruvian nationalist, Sara P. de Hernández began violin studies at the age of six with her father Benito Palomino. From 1982-1988 she was a member of the “Peruvian Violinist Children.” In 1988 she began her studies on the cello under Benjamin Calderó. She has performed with the Chamber Orchestra at Lima, the String Quartet of the Music Conservatory of the State of Mexico, as well as with the Querétaro Philharmonic and Acapulco Philharmonic. As a soloist, she has performed with the Trujillo Symphony and the Acapulco Philharmonic. She presently teaches cello at the Conservatory in Tijuana and is the principal cellist for the Orquestra de Solistas de Baja California.
Robert White Wilson began his piano studies at the age of eleven under Mrs. Christine Gilbert of Smithfield, NC. While attending Foundations Bible College, he studied under John C. Ruggero, a graduate of the Julliard School of Music. While in graduate school at Foundations, he studied under Michael Zenge at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 2001 he received a Doctorate of Religious Education in Sacred Musicology from Foundations Graduate School under the direction of Dr. O. Talmadge Spence and Dr. Joye S. Spence. As Dean of Fine Arts at Foundations, he teaches piano, organ, music history, music theory, and other related courses. His compositions include works for piano, some small chamber works, and several sacred instrumental and choral works.
