From the Back CoverThis book was written with two necessary truths in mind that are urgently needed in the Christian life: a conscious knowledge of the will of God in our lives and a conscious practice of scriptural separation for our lives. The will of God is related to the personal separation of the Bible Christian throughout his or her entire life. This author believes that only the Christian can come to know the will of God; and only the Christian can practice and enjoy separation unto the Lord Jesus Christ, with separation from the apostasy, in militancy and magnificence, being the result of the will of God. Both the will of God and separation are noble truths. The will of God is considered in four aspects as follows: to know the will, to commence the will, to continue the will, and to finish the will of God. This is considered to the spiritual dynamic for everything that the Christian will accomplish for the Lord in a lifetime. Also, the Bible reveals the way in which a Christian may come to know the will of God, and both the Old and New Testaments present that way. Job is considered; Elihu is observed; David is an example; and, Paul's life is indelibly rendered. One dozen doors to the will of God are seriously considered, and the author offers an in-depth consideration of why so few in his generation actually understand, know, and do the will of God. This, along with a consideration of the spiritual nobility of personal separation unto the will of God, becomes the two hinges upon the door of the accomplishment of the will of God in life. This book was written from the perspective of being involved with Christian students and pastors who sometimes labored to come to a knowledge and a practice of the will of God. |
